Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Purpose

Dear Friends,

As we mark the midpoint of the year—and prepare to celebrate the founding ideals of our Nation—I’m reminded of the words that continue to guide and ground us:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,
that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

These aren’t just promises of democracy—they represent a vision of a Nation, and a future worth fighting for.

This morning, as I reflect on both the immediate purpose and enduring ideals that shaped our founding, I’m drawn to the men and women who have carried the heart of our Nation on their shoulders—into conflict, into communities, and into the far corners of the world. What they have given in pursuit of liberty—and all that we hold dear—is nothing short of extraordinary.

At Veterans Collaborative, we believe these unalienable rights must not only be protected and honored but actively extended to every person who has worn the uniform—and to the families who have stood beside them with unwavering strength and sacrifice on this journey of service, courage, and purpose.

This year, we’ve worked with relentless purpose—to be worthy of their sacrifice and your trust. Through your partnership, we’ve turned belief into action: expanding access to opportunity, resources, and connection at the local level. We are meeting Veterans, service members, and families where they are—and building meaningful pathways for them to serve, lead, and prosper, right here at home.

Here are a few milestones we’re proud to share:

·        We’ve onboarded and supported 5 new Veteran-led charitable projects in Q2—ranging from mental health initiatives to TBI research and Veteran employment in entertainment. That brings our total to:

15 Veteran-led and serving charitable initiatives

o 3 Military spouse–led charitable initiatives

o  2 Advocate-led and Veteran-serving charitable initiatives

·        We are on pace to exceed our 2025 projected annual revenue this quarter, thanks to new partnerships and generous support—and we are putting your investment to work by directly supporting Veterans, service members, and families in communities across the country.

·        We’ve launched innovative programs such as the Veterans Interstate Network, Veterans Community Alliance, and Mission Forward: Veteran Nonprofit Leadership Circle—each designed to strengthen public-private partnerships, support Veteran nonprofit leaders, and build a robust, locally driven ecosystem of care.

But the best part? We’re just getting started. Every day is a call to do more—because you are worth it.

This Independence Day, I’m grateful not just for our country—but for those who have fought to preserve the blanket of freedom we rest under, and for those who continue to serve and support our Veteran and military community here at home.

Whether you’ve shared your time, talents, resources, or simply stood with us in this mission—you are part of something deeply meaningful. We are thankful for you.

Our Veteran and military community is our motivation—and you are a vital part of our mission in action. As we move into the second half of the year, we do so with clarity of purpose, unity of effort, and the boldness to collectively serve and support those who have given so much to us all.
